Welcome to my portfolio. I am glad you stopped by and I hope this year of 2015 will be good for you.

I've been taking photos since childhood, starting with a Box Brownie till now where I enjoy capturing images with a Nikon D80. I am largely self-taught though I learned a lot from others as a member of several camera clubs in the Dallas, TX area during my linguistics study program in the late 1970's and later as a wedding photographer in Sydney, Australia in the early 1980's.

In the early 1970's I was privileged to learn how to develop and print my own images while on a 6-month assignment in PNG. Since that time I endeavoured to always have a darkroom set up. While I still have the equipment, I do not have a suitable place for one...

Now that I have retired from my role as a linguist and teacher, I have the time to focus on the creative artistry enabled by today's cameras and software. I mainly work with digital. However, I do not find digital pictures come close to the beauty of what can be produced in the darkroom. My digital work is created from photos I've taken using a variety of software which includes Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Corel's Printshop Pro, Dynamic Auto Painter, Topaz Labs Filters, onOne Perfect Photo Suite, etc.

If you like what you see here, please spread the word. Thanks for looking.

My work is copyrighted. It is my own work and I do not give permission to anyone to copy, claim as one's own, sell, display, or whatever. Please honour that.
